Kari Jones wrangles communications for the largest union of registered nurses in the United States, National Nurses United (NNU), including work to elevate the voice of NNU executive director Bonnie Castillo, RN, TIME 100 most influential people of 2020. An activist at heart, Kari has co-organized an Oakland, California action attended by 500 people, dedicated to ending sexual violence; lived in the Oregon woods writing for an environmental education center; and deployed to Standing Rock with volunteer nurses. When not typing her way toward a better world, she can sometimes be found on stage.
